The Jack the Ripper tours are how I felt visiting the Colosseum in Rome. Everyone was doing selfies and having a laugh. I was like don’t they feel the evil and sadness radiating from this place. Lives extinguished under the guise of entertainment. Depressing levels of humanity.
Wow, Daphne, I hadn't thought of that but you're completely right. I also do think when terrible things have happened somewhere it leaves a mark in the atmosphere... I felt that when I went around Versailles a couple of years ago. There was just a chill there.
I loved this! I also spent much of last year feeling low and anxious and am vowing to ease that anxiety this year by slowing down.. planning ahead, giving myself more breathing room in my day, and letting go of the feeling that everything needs to happen right now (and that it's never enough). I was inspired by your exchange of gratitude lists with your partner and friend and would love to adopt this practice! It feels like a beautiful way to deepen connection and find that everyday joy.
Love the sweater
Thanks! It's from Crisis on Rye Lane... always a good bet x

Those who take the time to listen will hear what their surroundings are trying to tell them. X
